Beth Winfield RSW BSW
Practicum Student Counsellor
I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable while openly discussing any concerns they have. I strive to ensure that client’s feel heard, understood and supported during our sessions. I serve clients who face various challenges.
My approach is rooted in active listening, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping clients explore challenges, as we work together to build resilience and hope.
I offer a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive approach, utilizing Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and often utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. Clients can expect to be offered coping strategies that can be used outside the office setting to further promote mental health and wellbeing.
