Logan Harland MACP, CCC
Counsellor
In 2014, my life took a turn when I was traded to the Saskatoon Blades. The pressures of elite sports at a young age took a toll on my mental health. Growing up on a traditional farm with little resources, I had no understanding of mental health and how to cope with my struggles in an appropriate way. Although this led me down a personally-dark path, I grew an eventual passion for helping others navigate their own challenges in a healthy way.
I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counseling psychology. Thus far, I have had the privilege of supporting diverse individuals within our community, particularly those facing athletic pressures, work stress, relationship difficulties, accountability issues, goal-setting challenges, anger, bullying, anxiety, depression, and self-harm.Â
I commit myself to creating a safe space for everyone, regardless of their sexuality, culture, gender, religious beliefs, or preferred pronouns. I believe in building trust, open communication, and fostering an environment of equality. I pride myself on my non-judgmental listening, honesty, positivity and empathy, creating a space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves. I utilize techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, tailoring my approach to each client's unique needs.
I work with individuals aged 12 and older, offering both in-person and virtual counselling sessions. If you're seeking support, please reach out: admin@evolvecounsellingyxe.com or (639) 384-7674.
