Kim Duret M.C., Registered Psychologist (Provisional)
Counsellor
Hello! My name is Kim and I proudly live, work, and learn on Treaty 6 territory and the Homeland of the Metis.
As a counsellor, I practice from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, strength-based approach while drawing on a variety of theoretical influences such as narrative therapy, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology. I have an extensive background working with children and families on the Autism Spectrum and I especially enjoy supporting parents.
I have a keen interest in Nature-Based Therapy and am working towards certification in Perinatal Mental Health. As a mom, I understand the many facets of parenting and the many emotions and thoughts that come along with this. I am here to support you on this journey.
I enjoy working with children, youth and adults of all age, and I am skilled in the areas of:
2SLGBTQ+
Maternal Mental Health
